DETERMINING FACTORS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SOCIAL INNOVATION ACTIVITIES: THE CASE OF CHILEAN COMPANIES

Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the determinants of the decision to implement social innovation activities in Chilean companies, using a model of probit determinants. The findings show that relevant factors are those associated with previous innovation experiences, that companies have cooperation networks with universities and the best qualification of their human capital. Also, it is shown that size is a relevant factor that allows the understanding of social innovation in national companies, noting a gap between micro, small and large enterprises.
