Abstract
The objective of the study is to verify to what extent the environmental capabilities of the Vision Based on Natural Resources Theory are reflected in the management of environmental risk, mediated by eco-control. Using structural equation modeling, data collected by questionnaire from 142 industries were analyzed. The results show that managers are adopting eco-control practices. Furthermore, evidence that the mediating role of eco-control promotes environmental capabilities and contributes to better management of environmental risk. The research contributes to the eco-control literature by corroborating the relevance of this tool for industries and environmental preservation.
