“SOFT SKILLS” AND PERCEIVED PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Abstract

This article deals with the perceived performance of professionals and trainees in relation to soft skills during the pandemic period. This study proposes a model that uses ordinal logistic regression to test the relationship between professional performance and performance in certain soft skills, and the influence of the pandemic on this issue. The elements of the pandemic most evident to explain the perceived professional performance were the speed of its dissemination and the disruption of routine. And the soft skills that were most significant were oral communication, self-management and technical/digital skills.
