Abstract
This article discusses the impact of trade liberalization on poverty in 13 Latin American countries were investigated during the period 2002-2012. For this, a panel data was constructed and a series of econometric estimates were made by fixed and random effects which are then contrasted by the Hausman test. Subsequently, robustness check using different measures of poverty was performed. Finally, three linear predictions controlled by internal financing, human capital and effectiveness of government, in order to assess whether there are differences when controlling for these variables were performed.References
