BUILDING TRUST BY CSR: An illustration in the chain of suppliers of the textile industry .

Abstract

The global crisis has eroded trust about firms and managers. We propose that a stakeholder perspective of the firm that assumes a corporate social responsibility from a citizenship perspective may allow us to recover trust. We analyze the level in which this citizenship CSR is present in the chain of suppliers of four key firms of the Spanish textile industry. We show the diversity of answers in terms of transparency and participative dialogue. Transparency and dialogue allows building an ethos that returns trust.
