Abstract
Open source describes a methodology in software development that promote access to the source code. This model has resulted in a large and efficient ecosystem of software innovation, freely available to society and has reduced software to raw infrastructure commodity while promoting creation of value to a later stage of the value chain. The objective of our research is to identify indicators in order to measure and communicate open source social responsibility. To reach our goal we conduct a webmetric study, where several successful open source projects are analyzed for success indicators disclosure.
