EL AMBIENTE DE NEGOCIOS Y LA COMPETITIVIDAD TURÍSTICA

Resumen

La combinación de las ventajas competitivas específicas de una industria con las ventajas comparativas de una nación genera un contexto propicio para el desarrollo. Este artículo analiza los factores del ambiente de negocios considerando el impacto de la coyuntura macro sobre el sector turístico. Un análisis de regresión verificó el grado de significancia de 14 variables sobre el Pilar 1 del Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index (TTCI) en un muestreo de 126 países. La etapa de desarrollo económico del país fue utilizada como variable de control. Los resultados indican que los principales impeditivos de un ambiente de negocios competitivo están relacionados con requerimientos administrativos, burocracia, procesos de licenciamiento y corrupción.
